You will learn the theoretical and practical base for the preparation of the underground for panel painting so-called gesso. This gesso was used in the production of furniture, but also shields, which we will focus on this time.
During the course we will look at the use of gesso in history and I will teach you how to prepare these materials yourself. You will take home one prepared plate for painting and the other plate with a small piece from the Viennese model book from the years 1410/1420.
The course includes materials (2 wooden blocks, materials for gesso and painting of model book) and small snack. ☕
